Cartoon Network Speedway is basically what happens when you take all your favorite 90s cartoon weirdos and throw them into Mario Kart-style chaos. You start off picking characters like Courage (who looks hilariously panicked behind the wheel) or Johnny Bravo (of course he drives a muscle car), and then it's off to tracks that feel ripped straight out of their shows.
The first race I tried had me dodging giant bowling balls in the Powerpuff Girls' city while Blossom shot some kind of bubblegum projectile at me. It's janky in that classic GBA way—the drifting takes some getting used to, but once you figure it out, you'll be sliding around corners like a pro. The items are pure Cartoon Network nonsense too—one minute you're dropping a pie trap, the next you're getting hit with a freeze ray from Dexter's lab.
Honestly, half the fun is just seeing how they translated these characters into racers. Ed from Ed, Edd n Eddy leaves a trail of jawbreakers behind him, and the KND somehow fit their entire treehouse into a kart. It's not the deepest racer out there, but if you grew up watching these shows, it's a weird little time capsule. Just don't expect to win every race—some of those AI opponents cheat like crazy.
