Cartoon Network Block Party is pure early 2000s nostalgia packed into a GBA cartridge. You’ve got Dexter running science experiments gone wrong, Johnny Bravo flexing his way through challenges, and the Powerpuff Girls zipping around—all in these bite-sized minigames that feel ripped straight from the shows.
Some of the games are hit-or-miss (I still don’t get the Cow and Chicken one), but when it clicks, it’s a blast. The Dexter’s Lab puzzle stages are weirdly satisfying, and racing as Blossom actually feels fast. The pixel art holds up surprisingly well, too—Eddy’s smug face is perfectly captured in 8-bit.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you grew up watching these cartoons, it’s hard not to smile when the theme songs kick in. Just don’t expect a competitive party experience—this is more about goofy, single-player fun.
