So, Cars (I) on the GBA—it’s basically a weird little mix of racing and minigames, loosely tied to the Pixar movie. You’ve got Lightning McQueen and the gang, all voiced by the actual movie cast, which is kinda cool if you’re into that. The racing feels a bit stiff compared to something like Mario Kart, but it’s got charm—especially if you’re just messing around between the minigames. Some of those are surprisingly fun, like the demolition derby mode where you just ram into stuff.
Weirdly, this version plays totally different from the console ones—more arcadey, less open-world. Not bad, just… different. If you’ve got nostalgia for the movie or just want a quick GBA racer, it’s worth a spin.
