Man, playing Cars on the Game Boy Advance takes me back. You start off as Lightning McQueen, tearing through Radiator Springs like you own the place—which, let’s be honest, he kinda does. The controls are simple, but drifting around those tight desert curves takes some practice. I kept smacking into cactus at first.

What’s cool is how they mixed in little missions between races—like helping Mater with some ridiculous tow-truck stunt or outrunning Frank the Combine. The graphics are obviously GBA-level, but they nailed the vibe of the movie, right down to the cheesy one-liners. And yeah, the soundtrack? Pure nostalgia.

It’s not the deepest racer, but for a licensed game, it’s way more fun than it had any right to be. Just don’t expect Mario Kart.
