Okay, so Care Bears - The Care Quests is exactly what it sounds like—a GBA game where you run around as those pastel-colored bears spreading happiness. It’s got this weirdly charming mix of platforming and mini-games where you collect stars, help grumpy NPCs cheer up, and occasionally toss rainbow beams at clouds (because of course you do).
First few minutes? You pick a bear—I went with Cheer Bear because, well, pink—and immediately get thrown into this candy-colored world where everything’s either bouncing or sparkling. The controls are simple, but some of the jumps are just awkward enough to make you mutter under your breath. And yeah, it’s clearly aimed at kids, but there’s something oddly satisfying about fixing a broken bridge by hugging it back together.
Honestly, it’s not deep, but if you’re into retro GBA vibes or just want something aggressively wholesome, it’s a weird little time capsule. The music alone will either charm you or haunt your dreams.
