Okay, so if you grew up watching Cardcaptor Sakura, this GBA game is basically nostalgia in cartridge form. You play as Sakura chasing down those pesky Clow Cards—some of them put up a fight, others just kinda float there looking pretty. The battles are simple but weirdly satisfying, especially when you figure out which card counters what (hint: The Windy card is your best friend early on).
The sprite work is adorable, like playing through a chibi version of the anime, and the music? Straight-up serotonin. It’s not super deep—more of a chill, pick-up-and-play vibe—but running around Tomoeda capturing cards while Meilin yells at you feels like hanging out with old friends. Just don’t expect Kero to be helpful. He’s mostly there to snack and sass.
Honestly, half the fun is seeing how they translated the show’s magic into little pixel battles. Still holds up if you’re into retro anime games.
