Card Party Game

Card Party on the GBA is one of those "just one more round" kind of games—you boot it up thinking you'll kill five minutes, and suddenly you've been grinding poker hands for an hour. The pixel art has that cozy early 2000s handheld vibe, and the menu music somehow makes even solitaire feel hype.
What’s cool is how it handles different card games. Poker’s got this weirdly satisfying chip sound effect when you push your bet, and solitaire actually lets you flip through the deck faster than most digital versions (a lifesaver when you’re stuck on a bus). I kept accidentally hitting the wrong button for blackjack at first—old GBA controls take some getting used to—but the games themselves are solid.
Best part? You can pass the GBA around for multiplayer. My friend destroyed me at hearts last week and I’m still salty about it. If you’ve got a soft spot for card games or just want something to fiddle with between classes, this one’s a sleeper hit.
