Caesars Palace II is basically a portable casino stuffed into a Game Boy Color cartridge. You get blackjack, slots, roulette—all the usual suspects—but with that classic late '90s handheld charm. The graphics are simple, obviously, but there's something weirdly satisfying about hearing those tinny slot machine sounds through the GBC speaker.
At first, I thought it'd just be a quick cash grab, but the poker actually has some decent strategy to it once you get past the clunky controls. Roulette feels a little stiff, though—good luck trying to place precise bets with the D-pad. Still, if you ever wanted to lose fake money while waiting for the bus in 1999, this was your game.
It's not deep, but it gets the job done for a handheld casino fix.
