Bust-A-Move Millenium came out for the Game Boy Color in 2001, published by Taito. It was part of that wave of puzzle games you could carry in your pocket, a straightforward color-matching title that fit right in with the handheld's library. The game didn't try to reinvent the wheel; it was a solid, portable version of a familiar concept.

You control a cursor at the bottom of the screen, aiming and launching colored bubbles upward to match them with others of the same color. The main goal is to clear each screen of all bubbles before they descend and trap you. Key mechanics include banking your shots off the side walls to reach tricky angles and creating chain reactions by popping a group, which makes adjacent, now-unsupported bubbles fall away. The pace starts relaxed but picks up steadily as the layouts get more complex and the ceiling slowly creeps down. It feels satisfying to line up a perfect shot and watch a huge chunk of the playfield just disappear.
