So, A Bug’s Life on Game Boy Color—yeah, it’s exactly what you’d expect: a simple, kid-friendly platformer based on the movie. You play as Flik, hopping across leaves, dodging pesky bugs, and collecting seeds (because apparently, that’s how you save the colony). The jumps feel a little floaty, and the enemies aren’t exactly genius-level AI, but hey, it’s got that bright, cartoony look straight out of the film.
First level throws you right into Ant Island, and honestly, it’s hard to mess up—just tap A to jump over gaps and thwack a few grasshoppers with… whatever Flik’s weapon is supposed to be. There’s even some weird mini-games tucked in there, like rolling a dung ball (because why not?). It’s not gonna challenge you, but if you were six and obsessed with the movie? Perfect.
Definitely a "rental for the weekend" kind of game back in the day.
