Bubble Bobble - Old & New on the GBA is basically the classic arcade bubble-blowing chaos, but with a few tweaks to keep it interesting. You still play as those little dinosaurs Bub and Bob, trapping enemies in bubbles and popping them for points—simple, but weirdly satisfying. The "Old" part is the original arcade mode, while "New" adds some extra levels and mechanics, like power-ups that change how your bubbles work. At first, I thought it was just a straight port, but there’s actually enough new stuff here to make it worth a look if you’re a fan of the series.
Controls feel tight, and the music’s still that same cheerful, slightly repetitive tune you either love or tolerate. It’s one of those games where you’ll lose an hour without realizing it, just chasing high scores or trying to rescue your buddy in co-op. Not the deepest game out there, but sometimes you just wanna blow bubbles and watch things pop.
