Boxing Fever came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Digital Fiction and published by Ubisoft. You control a boxer from a side on perspective, moving left and right to dodge punches and land your own. Signature mechanics include a unique control scheme where you use the shoulder buttons to throw different types of punches, like hooks and uppercuts, and a stamina bar that depletes as you swing wildly, forcing you to manage your energy. The pacing is fast, and the AI can be surprisingly aggressive, making you learn patterns to avoid getting knocked out quickly.
