Bouken Yuuki Plastar World - Densetsu No Plust Gate Ex (j)(independent) Game

Bouken Yuuki PlaStar World is one of those obscure GBA RPGs that slipped under the radar—probably because it never left Japan. You start off picking between three weirdly charming hero types (I went with the sword guy, no regrets), and suddenly you're tossed into this bright, chunky pixel world full of floating islands and goofy-looking monsters.
The combat's simple but satisfying—think old-school turn-based with just enough strategy to keep you paying attention. What really stuck with me was the art style—everything’s got this playful, almost toy-like vibe, like someone took a Saturday morning anime and crammed it into a Game Boy cartridge. It’s not groundbreaking, but there’s something oddly comforting about it.
Fair warning: unless you’re fluent in moon runes, you’ll be guessing your way through menus half the time. Still, if you’re into digging up forgotten JRPGs, this one’s a neat little time capsule.
