Bokura no Taiyou came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2005, a time when the handheld was full of creative, experimental titles. You control a young boy whose main goal is to restore the sun, which has been stolen, by collecting its scattered fragments. Your primary tool is a sword, but the unique mechanic is using a mirror shield to reflect sunlight. You angle the shield to catch light beams, which can stun enemies, activate switches, or reveal hidden paths. The pacing is deliberate, focusing more on puzzle solving than frantic combat, and some of the light reflection puzzles require careful timing and positioning. It feels like a quiet, thoughtful adventure where you are literally bringing light back to a darkened world.
