Okay, so Bob et Bobette: Les Dompteurs du Temps is this weirdly charming little Game Boy Color platformer where you jump between time periods—one minute you're dodging dinosaurs, the next you're sneaking past medieval guards. The pixel art has that classic 90s comic vibe, and the puzzles are just tricky enough to make you pause without getting frustrating.
What surprised me was how much personality they squeezed into it. Bob’s animations when he picks up items are weirdly expressive, and some of the era-specific gags (like a caveman NPC complaining about "newfangled fire") actually got a laugh out of me. Controls are simple—run, jump, throw stuff—but timing matters, especially when you’re being chased by a surprisingly fast Roman soldier.
If you’ve got a soft spot for Euro comics or just want something different from the usual GBC library, it’s worth dusting off. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s more like finding a weirdly tasty snack in the back of your pantry.
