Blade came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, published by Activision. It was part of that wave of action games trying to capture a console feel on the small screen. You control a vampire hunter named Blade, moving through gritty city streets and underground lairs in a mission to stop a vampire uprising.

You guide Blade through interconnected areas, clearing rooms of enemies with your sword or a ranged shot. The main goal is to hunt down key vampire leaders across different districts, which involves navigating multi level buildings and solving simple environmental puzzles. Combat is straightforward; you slash at enemies or use a limited supply of throwing knives, and you can find health and ammo refills in breakable objects. The game can be challenging, with some tricky enemy placements and a need to manage your resources carefully. It feels like a solid, no frills action game from that era.
