About Bit Generations : Coloris
Bit Generations: Coloris was part of a series of experimental games for the Game Boy Advance, released in Japan in 2006. It was developed by Skip Ltd. and published by Nintendo. These titles explored simple, abstract concepts, a contrast to the more complex adventures and platformers common on the system at the time.
You control a cursor, moving it around a grid filled with colored blocks. The objective is to clear each screen by grouping blocks of the same color together; when four or more connect, they vanish. The core mechanics involve sliding entire rows or columns of blocks to create these matches, but you must always be mindful of the color of the block you are pushing from the opposite side. The game starts calmly, but the grids become more intricate, demanding foresight and planning several moves ahead. It feels like quietly untangling a persistent, colorful knot.
