About Bit Generations - Dotstream (j)(caravan)
Bit Generations: Dotstream came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, part of a series of experimental games published by Nintendo. It arrived late in the handheld's life, a time when developers were still finding clever ways to use the hardware for minimalist concepts.
You control a line of light that races across scrolling, abstract tracks. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage as quickly as possible while collecting dots to maintain your speed. Your line can change width; a thinner line moves faster but is more fragile, breaking if it touches the track's edges, while a thicker line is slower but more durable. The game demands sharp reflexes to navigate the winding, often narrow pathways that twist and split.
