Bibi Blocksberg: Im Bann der Hexenkugel is one of those niche German-only Game Boy Color games that feels like stumbling into a weird little time capsule. You play as Bibi, a young witch, and the whole thing has this charmingly janky early 2000s adventure vibe—think point-and-click but on a tiny screen with chunky pixel art.

Right away, you're thrown into this story about a cursed magic orb, and the dialogue (all in German, obviously) has that Saturday morning cartoon energy. The controls take a second to get used to since it's more about exploring and solving puzzles than fast action. If you don’t speak German, good luck—but if you do, it’s a surprisingly cozy little witchy adventure with some legit funny moments.

Definitely not for everyone, but if you’re into obscure GBC titles, it’s got personality.
