Batman Vengeance on GBA is one of those rare licensed games that actually nails the vibe of the show—in this case, The New Batman Adventures. You’re dropped right into Gotham’s grimy streets, bouncing between rooftops and punching thugs in that classic Bruce Timm art style. The 3D platforming feels a little janky at first (it is the GBA), but once you get the rhythm of Batman’s grapnel swings, it clicks.
What surprised me was how much they packed in—stealth takedowns, gadget puzzles, even a few Batmobile chase scenes. The story’s got that same weird, pulpy energy as the cartoon, with Joker pulling some seriously unhinged stunts. Just don’t expect Arkham-level combat; this is pure early 2000s brawler territory. Still, hearing that theme music kick in never gets old.
