Okay, so Barbie and The Magic of Pegasus on GBA is way more fun than I expected. You start off flying around on this gorgeous winged horse (obviously), solving little puzzles and collecting gems while dodging clouds and weird floating obstacles. The art style’s actually pretty charming—like a storybook come to life, with pastel castles and sparkly magic effects that don’t look half bad for a GBA screen.
Gameplay’s simple but satisfying—mostly platforming with some light combat against these goofy shadow creatures. The Pegasus controls are weirdly smooth once you get used to them, though I kept crashing into trees at first. And yeah, it’s very Barbie (so expect lots of glitter and friendship speeches), but there’s a sneaky amount of strategy in picking the right power-ups before boss fights. My niece stole my copy after watching me play for five minutes, so… mission accomplished, I guess.
