Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by Rare. It was part of that wave of early 2000s handheld games where developers tried to fit a console style adventure into your pocket. This one is a direct sequel to the first Banjo-Kazooie on the Nintendo 64, picking up right after Gruntilda's defeat.

You control Banjo, with Kazooie riding in his backpack, across a series of interconnected worlds. Your main goal is to stop Gruntilda's new robotic body from being completed, which involves traveling through time to gather parts for a special clock. The gameplay revolves around exploring each area screen by screen, jumping between platforms, and defeating enemies with peck attacks and roll moves. You spend a lot of time hunting for Jiggies and Musical Notes to unlock new stages and progress. The pacing is steady, and the difficulty feels fair, though some of the later platforming can get tricky. It feels like a condensed, portable version of the larger console adventures, capturing that same loop of exploration and collection.
