Bakusou Senki Metal Walker GB is one of those weird, late-era Game Boy Color mech games that never made it outside Japan. You pilot these clunky little robots called Metal Walkers, customizing them with different weapons and parts before sending them into battle. The controls take some getting used to—your walker moves in this grid-based system where positioning matters way more than you'd think at first.
What’s cool is how much personality the mechs have despite the tiny sprites. You’ve got drill arms, flamethrowers, all that good stuff, and the fights feel surprisingly tactical for a GBC game. The "Koutetsu no Yuujou" subtitle hints at some story about friendship between pilots, but let’s be real—you’re here to make a robot punch another robot.
It’s janky in that classic early 2000s way, but if you’re into obscure mech games, this one’s a neat little time capsule.
