About Backyard Sports Basketball 2007 (u)(rising Sun)
Backyard Sports Basketball 2007 came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, developed by Humongous Entertainment. It was part of that wave of kid friendly sports titles on the GBA, a time when you could carry a whole season in your pocket. The game uses the familiar Backyard Sports cast of neighborhood kids, giving it a lighthearted, cartoon style that fit right in on the small screen.
You control a team of kids in five on five basketball games. The main objective is to win matches by outscoring the opposing team. Signature mechanics include a turbo button for quick bursts of speed, special power up moves that trigger unique scoring animations, and a season mode where you manage your roster and play through a schedule. The pacing is generally fast, with simple controls that make it easy to pick up, though the computer opponents can put up a decent challenge on higher settings.
