Azumanga Daioh Advance is one of those weird little Japan-only GBA games based on the classic anime. It’s basically a mini-game collection with the whole gang—Chiyo-chan, Osaka, Sakaki—but don’t expect anything deep. You’ll be doing stuff like racing Chiyo’s dad (who’s inexplicably a floating head) or playing a weird version of whack-a-mole with Yukari-sensei. The humor’s totally random, just like the show.
Controls are simple, but some of the games feel a bit stiff—like they rushed it out for fans. Still, if you love Azumanga’s brand of chaos, it’s a fun nostalgia trip. Just don’t go in expecting polished gameplay.
