Astro Flash (japan) Game

Astro Flash is one of those weird, kinda janky Sega Master System gems where you play as the last TransBot pilot left after some underground aliens wrecked everything. Your mech can transform between a jet and a robot—which sounds cooler than it actually is, but hey, it’s 1986, so cut it some slack.
The first level throws you right into the chaos: you’re dodging these bug-like Dalaus enemies while blasting away with your pea-shooter laser. The controls take a second to get used to—switching forms mid-fight feels clunky at first, but once you get the rhythm, pulling off a quick transform-dodge feels pretty satisfying.
It’s got that classic arcade vibe where the difficulty spikes hard if you’re not careful, and the power-ups are just obscure enough to make you panic when you accidentally grab the wrong one. The music’s a banger though, all synthy and urgent, like your robot’s about to explode any second (which, honestly, it might).
If you’re into retro mech shooters with a side of weird, this one’s a fun little time capsule.
