This Game Boy Color version of Asteroids is basically the arcade classic with a fresh coat of paint—way more colorful than the original’s black-and-white vector look. You’re still blasting space rocks into smaller space rocks, but now there’s a two-player mode (if you had a link cable back in the day) and some extra power-ups to mix things up. The controls take a second to get used to—rotating your ship feels a little stiff at first—but once you’re in the zone, it’s that same satisfying loop of dodging and shooting. Honestly, it’s one of the better arcade-to-portable conversions from that era.
