Arthur and the Invisibles on GBA is one of those licensed games that actually tries to do something interesting. You play as Arthur, running around the tiny world of the Minimoys—little people living in the grass—and it’s got that weird mix of platforming and puzzles you’d expect from a mid-2000s movie tie-in. The art style’s kinda charming, though, with bright colors and chunky sprites that make it feel like a Saturday morning cartoon.
At first, it’s mostly jumping over stuff and pushing objects around, but later you get into these weird little minigames—like avoiding guards or sneaking past traps. It’s not super deep, but it’s got enough variety to keep you from getting bored. The controls are a little stiff, but hey, it’s a GBA game based on a movie, so what did you expect? If you liked the film or just want a quick, simple adventure, it’s not a bad way to kill an afternoon.
