Arthur and the Invisibles on GBA is one of those weird little licensed games that somehow works. You play as Arthur, shrunk down to miniature size, jumping between mushrooms and dodging oversized bugs to save his grandma’s house. The first thing you’ll notice is how colorful it is—bright blues and greens everywhere, like someone cranked the saturation up.

It’s part platformer, part puzzle solver, with some light combat thrown in. The controls are simple, but some of the later jumps get surprisingly tricky. And yeah, the Minimoys are just as odd-looking as in the movie, but they grow on you after a while. If you’ve seen the film, you’ll recognize a bunch of scenes, but even if you haven’t, it’s a decent little adventure with just enough challenge to keep you pushing forward.

Not gonna lie, some of the enemy designs are bizarre (why is that frog wearing sunglasses?), but that’s part of the charm. It’s a solid pick if you’re into GBA platformers with a bit of personality.
