Army Men on Game Boy Color is that classic late '90s vibe where you're leading tiny green plastic soldiers through backyard battlefields. You start off with a basic rifle guy, but pretty quick you're tossing grenades, calling in airstrikes, and sneaking past enemy patrols in sandbox levels that feel like someone's actual toy box. The controls are a little stiff by today's standards, but there's something weirdly charming about the way your guys clunk around like actual plastic figures. The tan army always camps in the worst spots.
It's got that weird mix of simplicity and chaos—one minute you're carefully picking off enemies, the next you're panic-firing into a swarm of them. The missions get surprisingly tough later on, especially when they throw tanks at you. Still holds up if you're into retro tactical stuff.
