Remember those plastic army men battles you'd set up as a kid? Army Men Advance nails that vibe—except now you're actually controlling the little green guys. It's a top-down strategy game where you're sneaking through backyards and kitchen floors (which suddenly feel like war zones when you're two inches tall).
The tan army's always lurking, so you gotta use cover—think soda cans and pencil boxes—and flank them before they flank you. First mission had me crawling under a couch while dodging enemy fire, and yeah, I lost half my squad to a surprise attack from behind a toy truck. Lesson learned.
It's got that classic GBA look, chunky pixels and all, but the terrain actually matters. You'll waste time charging across open carpet (bad idea) when you could've taken the bookcase high ground. If you ever played with those little plastic soldiers, this hits different. Just don't expect a cakewalk—those tan guys play dirty.
