Armorines: Project S.W.A.R.M. came out for the Game Boy Color in 1999, published by Acclaim. You step into the powered armor of a soldier fighting an alien insectoid invasion, a premise familiar from the comics.

You control your armored soldier from an isometric perspective, moving screen by screen through hostile environments. Your main objective is to exterminate the swarming alien threat, which involves clearing areas of all enemies to progress. Signature mechanics include switching between a few different weapon types on the fly, like a rapid fire gun and a more powerful launcher, and navigating maze-like levels that require you to hunt for key cards to open new paths.
