I picked up Ao-Zoura To Nakama-tachi: Yume No Bouken on the Game Boy Advance back when it came out. It was a 0 release, meaning it was a Japanese exclusive, and I remember it being one of those lesser-known titles from a developer whose name escapes me now. It fit right into that era of the GBA where you'd find all sorts of experimental adventure games tucked away, games that didn't get the big marketing pushes but offered something different if you were willing to look.

You control a young hero, Ao-Zoura, and your main goal is to gather your scattered friends to confront a looming threat. The gameplay is built on screen by screen exploration; each new area is a self-contained puzzle box you navigate. You use a sword for close combat and a bow for hitting switches or enemies at a distance, and a big part of the game is delving into multi-level dungeons to collect special emblem pieces.
