Okay, so American Idol on Game Boy Advance is exactly what it sounds like—you get to pretend you're belting it out on stage while mashing buttons. The graphics are surprisingly decent for a GBA game, with little animated crowds and judges that actually look like Simon, Paula, and Randy.
You pick a song (mostly pop hits from the early 2000s, obviously), and then it’s all about timing button presses to the rhythm. Miss too many, and Simon will absolutely roast you—just like the show. There’s something weirdly satisfying about nailing a combo and seeing the crowd go wild, even if you’re just sitting there silently tapping away.
It’s not exactly deep, but if you ever wanted to feel like you could’ve been the next Kelly Clarkson without actually singing, this is your shot. Just don’t expect Karaoke Revolution levels of polish.
