American Dragon : Jake Long : Rise Of The Huntsclan Game
📅 2006 ✍️ WayForward Technologies

If you grew up watching American Dragon: Jake Long, this GBA game is basically a love letter to the show. You play as Jake, flipping between skateboarding around New York and transforming into a dragon to kick Huntsclan butt. The controls are simple—punch, fly, breathe fire—but the levels throw in enough variety to keep it interesting, like rescuing magical creatures or sneaking past guards.
What surprised me was how well it captures the show’s vibe. The sprites look ripped straight from the cartoon, and the dialogue’s got that same goofy charm. Some of the later missions get tough (that sewer level with the lasers? Ugh), but it never feels unfair. Just don’t expect a deep RPG—this is pure, nostalgic action with a side of dragon sass.
Honestly, it’s one of those licensed games that actually gets it right.
