Alright, so Altered Beast: Guardian of the Realms on GBA—it’s basically a follow-up to that old Sega Genesis brawler where you turn into monsters. This time, you’re still punching skeletons and demons, but now there’s more weird creatures to morph into (like a werewolf, but also some new ones). The levels are these short, arcade-y bursts where you collect orbs to power up, then go full beast mode when you’ve got enough. It’s not super deep, but smashing stuff as a monster still feels satisfying.
Arcanon’s the big bad again, and the stages throw some decent variety at you—jungles, ruins, that kind of thing. Controls are simple, though the GBA’s tiny screen makes some fights feel cramped. If you liked the original’s vibe but wanted a few more transformations, this one’s got you covered.
