About All Grown Up! : Express Yourself
I picked up All Grown Up!: Express Yourself for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004, a time when licensed games based on cartoons were everywhere. THQ published it, and it fit right in with other handheld titles from that era, offering a straightforward adventure based on the Rugrats spin-off. You don't expect anything groundbreaking, just a simple game to pass the time.
You control the kids from the show, moving them screen by screen to solve problems for the other characters. The main goal is to collect items and use them to complete tasks, which often involves a lot of backtracking and talking to everyone you meet. A few mini-games pop up, like rhythm-based challenges or simple puzzles, to break up the exploration. The pacing is slow, and the difficulty is gentle, meant for younger players who might get frustrated by more complex games. It feels like a relaxed, low-stakes way to spend an afternoon without any real pressure.
