Alfred's Adventure Game

Alfred’s Adventure is one of those Game Boy Color games that nails that perfect mix of tricky platforming and "wait, how do I even get up there?" puzzles. You play as Alfred, this little guy in a puffy hat, jumping across chunky pixel platforms and poking around for hidden switches—half the fun is figuring out what weird object in the background is actually interactive.
The first level throws you right into it: dodging bouncing mushrooms, timing jumps over pits, and realizing way too late that some ledges crumble under your feet. The art’s got that warm, slightly blurry GBC look, with these lush greens and blues that make everything pop even on the original hardware. And yeah, it’s tough—not "throw your Game Boy" tough, but you’ll definitely retry a few jumps.
If you’ve got a soft spot for games that don’t hold your hand but still feel fair, this one’s a gem. Just bring extra batteries.
