Aleck Bordon Adventure - Tower & Shaft Advance (j)(trashman) Game

Ever played one of those weird, obscure GBA games that never left Japan? Aleck Bordon Adventure is exactly that—a quirky little platformer where you play as this dude who looks like a rejected Indiana Jones concept. You’re climbing towers, dodging traps, and grabbing treasure, but the controls feel just stiff enough to make every jump a tiny gamble.
First few minutes in, you’ll notice the music’s oddly catchy, and the levels have this claustrophobic, maze-like design where one wrong move sends you tumbling back down. Not gonna lie, it’s frustrating at first, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about finally nailing a tricky section after a dozen tries. Also, the Japanese text means you’ll be guessing what half the items do—turns out that glowing orb was not, in fact, a health pickup.
If you’re into janky retro platformers with personality, this one’s a deep cut worth digging up.
