Advance GTA on the GBA is basically a tiny, chaotic sandbox where you steal cars, run from cops, and cause mayhem—all in that classic top-down GTA style. The controls take a minute to get used to, but once you do, it’s weirdly satisfying weaving through traffic in a pixelated sports car while sirens blare behind you.

You start off with simple jobs like delivering packages or picking fights with random pedestrians (don’t judge me), but things escalate fast. One minute you’re joyriding, the next you’re dodging SWAT vans in an alley. The city feels surprisingly alive for a GBA game—people react when you bump into them, cops actually chase you instead of just spawning nearby, and there’s even a day-night cycle that changes the vibe.

It’s janky in places (good luck aiming those drive-by shots), but that almost adds to the charm. If you miss the old-school GTA vibe but want it in your pocket, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect it to play like the modern ones.
