Okay, so this is one of those licensed games that actually gets the vibe right—it’s weird, a little janky, but totally Addams Family. You start off as Gomez, bouncing around the mansion like a maniac (because of course he moves like a pinball), and soon unlock the rest of the family. Wednesday’s got this creepy doll that attacks for her, Pugsley just… flails wildly, and Morticia? She glides. Naturally.
The levels are packed with hidden switches and weird little secrets, like secret passages behind paintings or random trapdoors. And yeah, the graphics are pure Game Boy Color—washed-out greens and purples—but it somehow fits the whole "cheap horror movie" aesthetic. The music’s got that eerie carnival vibe too, which I swear gets stuck in your head.
It’s not the hardest platformer, but there’s something satisfying about swapping between family members to solve puzzles. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand—some of those jumps are awkward as hell.
