I picked up a copy of Ab Durch Die Hecke for the Game Boy Advance back when it was new. It was published by Activision, and it's based on the animated film Over the Hedge. You control RJ the raccoon and Verne the turtle, switching between them to use their unique abilities. Your main goal is to recover the food supplies stolen by the exterminator. You explore suburban backyards screen by screen, avoiding traps and outsmarting animal control officers. RJ can use a slingshot to hit distant objects, while Verne can retreat into his shell to block hazards. The levels are fairly linear, but they require some quick thinking to navigate the patrols and environmental puzzles. The difficulty is manageable, though some sections demand precise timing. It feels like a straightforward, lighthearted adventure that captures the movie's chaotic energy.
