ATV: Quad Power Racing on the GBA is one of those games that nails the chaotic, slide-heavy feel of off-road racing. You pick your quad, hit the dirt, and immediately realize this isn't about clean laps—it's about wrestling your machine around tight corners while catching air off every bump. The tracks have this great mix of wide-open stretches and sneaky shortcuts hidden behind dust clouds.
What surprised me was how weighty the quads feel—you can't just yank the stick and expect to recover. Overdo a jump landing and you'll eat dirt while the AI riders blast past. Multiplayer's where it really shines though; nothing beats shoving your friend into a fence on the final lap. Just don't expect deep customization—this is pure arcade chaos with mud in your face.
It's rough around the edges by today's standards, but still holds up if you want that early 2000s handheld racing vibe.
