About Atv - Quad Power Racing (u)(eurasia)
ATV: Quad Power Racing came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, published by the now defunct company, Crave Entertainment. It was one of many racing titles on the system, arriving during a period when developers were still figuring out how to translate the feel of console racing onto a small, portable screen. This game was their attempt to bring the mud and noise of ATV racing into your hands.
You control a rider on a quad bike, racing against computer opponents across a variety of dirt tracks. The main objective is straightforward: finish first. The game uses a split-screen view during races, which was a common way to handle multiplayer on a single system, though it makes the course feel quite narrow when playing alone. You can perform tricks off jumps to earn a temporary speed boost, a mechanic that adds a small layer of risk and reward. The controls are simple, but the physics feel a bit loose, making it easy to slide out on tight turns. Races are short and the difficulty is manageable, though the computer riders can be aggressive. It feels like a quick, uncomplicated arcade racer that you can pick up for a few minutes at a time.
