I picked up 2 In 1 - Spider-Man & Spider-Man 2 for the Game Boy Advance, a cartridge that combines two games from the early 2000s. It was published by Activision, I believe, and it feels very much like a product of its time on the handheld, where licensed action games were common. Having both adventures in one place was the main draw for me.
You control Spider-Man through side scrolling levels, swinging between buildings and fighting thugs with punches and web attacks. The main goal is to stop the villains causing chaos in New York, moving from one screen to the next while avoiding environmental hazards. Signature mechanics include using your webs to traverse gaps and occasionally stick enemies to walls, plus a combat system that relies on quick combos. The pacing is brisk, and some enemy patterns require a few tries to learn. It feels straightforward and energetic to play, capturing the simple thrill of being Spider-Man on the go.
