If you grew up watching Yu Yu Hakusho, this SNES fighter is pure nostalgia fuel. You pick from Yusuke, Hiei, Kurama, or Kuwabara (obviously I went with Hiei first) and throw down in fast-paced 2D battles that actually feel like the anime—fire off spirit guns, whip out demon plants, or just slash everything with a sword.
The controls are simple but satisfying—charge up for big special moves, dodge at the right moment, and try not to get wrecked by Toguro’s ridiculous strength. Some of the stages even recreate iconic fights from the show, like the Dark Tournament arena. It’s not the deepest fighter out there, but nailing a Dragon of the Darkness Flame on some poor AI opponent never gets old.
Just don’t expect a story mode or anything fancy—this is straight-up arcade-style brawling with a killer Yu Yu Hakusho coat of paint. Perfect for quick matches when you’re craving some 90s anime vibes.
