Xardion came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Jorudan. It was part of that wave of early SNES games that tried to blend different genres, in this case mixing science fiction with action platforming. You don't hear about it as often as some other titles from that period, but it had its own ideas.

You control three different biomechanical heroes, switching between them on the fly. Each character has unique abilities; one is strong for breaking barriers, another can jump higher, and the third uses a long-range weapon. The main goal is to explore a large, interconnected world screen by screen, fighting robots and aliens while searching for keys to progress. You delve into dungeons, solve simple environmental puzzles, and collect power-ups to enhance your characters' health and weapons. The pacing is deliberate, and some sections can be quite difficult, demanding careful use of the right character for each obstacle. Navigating the maze-like levels and managing your trio gives the game a distinct, tactical feel.
