About X Zone (japan, Usa)
X Zone came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, published by Kemco. It was one of the games designed for the Super Scope light gun, which meant you needed that specific accessory to play. This placed it among a small group of SNES titles that tried something different with the hardware, moving beyond the standard controller.
You control a cursor on the screen, aiming the Super Scope at enemies that appear from all directions. Your main goal is to survive waves of attackers, clearing each stage by defeating every target. The game plays out screen by screen, with a radar helping you track off-screen foes. You collect power-ups to improve your shot, and the pacing is relentless; the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding fast reflexes and precise aim. It feels like a constant test of your focus and accuracy against an unending assault.
