Worms on SNES is one of those games that looks simple at first—just little worms lobbing grenades at each other—but then you realize how much chaos is packed in there. You pick a team (I always went with the default goofy names), take turns moving your worm, and try to blast the others off the map. The weapons are ridiculous: bazookas, banana bombs, even a holy hand grenade that counts down like some Monty Python joke.

What makes it fun is how unpredictable it gets. One wrong move, and your worm gets knocked into the water or blown up by their own misplaced dynamite. The terrain crumbles under explosions, so by the end of a match, the whole map looks like Swiss cheese. It’s way more strategic than it seems, especially with four players yelling at each other over who took too long to aim.

Still holds up as one of the best couch multiplayer games from the ‘90s.
