World Cup Striker on SNES is one of those early soccer games that somehow nails the chaos of a real match—players slide-tackle like maniacs, the ball pings around unpredictably, and the crowd noise ramps up when you’re near the box. The controls are simple (pass, shoot, sprint), but timing a perfect chip shot over the keeper still feels satisfying even now.

Graphically, it’s very much of its era—blocky sprites, minimal animations—but the stadium backdrops and team colors pop nicely. I remember getting weirdly invested in the fictional national teams (who even is "Tuluba"?) and trying to unlock hidden formations. Not the deepest soccer sim, but great for quick matches when you just want to blast a few goals in. Still holds up better than some of the jankier sports titles from that time.
